More renewable energy

The Department of Defense (DoD) has a goal to produce or procure at least 25 percent of energy from renewable sources by Fiscal Year 2025. As of 2016, 12.6 percent of DoD’s energy was coming from renewable sources.

Individual branches of the DoD have partnered with industry on WTE projects and explored the feasibility of running their own projects.
